ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 5.4. Identifying services ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Enter a string which identifies the service.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 5.5. Display popup window ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
ISDN Caller ID can display a small window on top of the active window in case
it receives a call.
This window will not get the focus: it will not interrupt your work.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 5.6. Hide frame controls ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
You can enable or disable the titlebar, the system menu and the minimize and
maximize buttons of ISDN Caller ID.
Even with disabled frame controls, you can move the window by dragging the
window using mouse button two.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 5.7. CAPI workaroud ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
In case more than one entry per call is added to the log, enable this feature.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 5.8. Choosing a logfile ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Enter a fully qualified filename in the entryfield.
Every event gathered will be appended to that text file.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 5.9. Choosing a phonebook ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Enter a fully qualified filename in the entryfield.
The file must be a textfile in the following format:
Phonenumber 1;Realname 1
Phonenumber 2;Realname 2
Phonenumber 3;Realname 3
[...]
Phonenumber n;Realname n
For example:
0987654321;Joe Doe #1
0123456789;Joe Doe #2
When editing this file manually you can use the wildcard '*' to identify
phonenumbers.
For example:
040*;Call from Hamburg
001305*;Whow, a call from Miami
Be aware that you have to care a little bit on the sorting of your entries
place the most precise entries on the top of your phonebook :
0013052615002;Heaven Cycle Inc., Miami
001305*;Whow, a call from Miami
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 5.10. Choosing a pipename ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Enter a name for ISDN Caller ID's pipe.
Please note, that that name must match OS/2's naming convention, for example:
\Pipe\CallerID
\Pipe\ISDNPipe
\\Daisy\Pipe\CallerID
For further information have a look at the Pipe support section.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 6. Pipe support ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
ISDN Caller ID creates a named pipe on your system.
Every gathered event will be written to that named pipe.
There are several ways to use the pipe's data:
1. Simple redirection: type \Pipe\CallerID
2. Third party programs like Pipe Monitor and PMSnoop
Both programs can be ftp'd from ftp.cdrom.com
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 7. Help on Phonenumber identification ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
This dialog will be opened every time ISDN Caller ID cannot find a calling
phonenumber in its phonebook.
The calling phonenumber will be displayed in the upper entryfield.
You can enter an identification string for this number in the lower entryfield.
Click the OK button to store the changes made.
Note: Once the dialog has been opened it will be automatically closed after 60
seconds without saving any entries made.
